“I completely agree sharing your location on social media isn't a great idea. I hardly ever do it myself. If I do share, it's always after I've left the place or the event. I wait a day before sharing, just to be safe. Live sharing my location? Never! It's risky. You never know who might be out there watching or following you. So, it's always better to play it safe and avoid sharing your location on social media,” she says.

She adds that even if it's for work, it’s best to wait for a few days before posting. “If you feel it's necessary due to commitments or deliverables that require acknowledging your presence, like barter or paid collaborations, then you can share your location afterward. But it's important to wait a day or two after you've left the place. There's no harm in sharing it later, once you're no longer there. It's all about being cautious and mindful of your safety,” she says.

She adds, “I would strictly advise people not to share their location because there's a lot of negativity and enmity out there. You never know who might be watching you or what someone's intentions are. People's profiles can be very different from reality, and conflicts can arise unexpectedly. So, it's best to keep our location to ourselves. It's just a matter of not hitting that share button, or waiting before sharing, and if possible, avoiding it altogether.”
